Essay

The essays are an opportunity to tell us more about yourself. Use the essays to detail your interests, values and goals. We are interested in what motivates you, evidence of leadership and team work, why you are looking to pursue an MBA at this point in your life, and what you will bring to the London Business School Community. The essays are a vital part of your application and thus we recommend that you spend a significant amount of time in their preparation. 
The essay questions for entry in August 2009 are listed below. 

 

Question 1 (600 words)
In what role do you see yourself working immediately after graduation? Why? How will your past and present experiences help you achieve this? How will the London Business School MBA Programme contribute to this goal? Why is this the right time for you to pursue an MBA? 

 

Question 2 (200 words)
Where do you see your career progressing five years after graduation and what is your longer term career vision?

 

Question 3 (500 words)
Please describe your experience of working in and leading teams, either in your professional or personal life. Include any specific challenges you have faced. Given this experience, what role do you think you will play in your first year study group?

 

Question 4 (400 words)
Student involvement is an extremely important part of the London Business School MBA experience and this is reflected in the character of students on campus. What type of student club or campus community events will you be involved with and why? How will you contribute?

 

Question 5 (150 words)
Describe any significant experiences outside of your home country. What did you gain from these?

 

Question 6 (300 words) (This question is optional)
Is there any other information that you believe would help the MBA Admissions Committee when considering your application?

 

Question 7 (300 words) (This question is for re-applicants only)
Please describe how your candidacy for the London Business School MBA has improved since your last application.

1) Explain why you chose your current job. How do you hope to see your career developing over the next five years? How will an MBA assist you in the development of these ambitions? Maximum 1,000 words.

 

2) Which recent development, world event or book has most influenced your thinking and why? Maximum 2,000 words.

The main objective of the following questions is to have more information regarding your candidature. Please answer each question on a separate sheet of paper with a minimum of 250 words, limiting each reply to one side of paper (1.5 line spacing).

 

All Applicants must answer the following essay questions:

 

A. If you had the opportunity, what would you ask the president or leader of your country, and why?

 

B. Cite the most difficult situation you have faced in your professional life and how your input helped to resolve it.
Applicants for MBA and General Management programs should also write an essay on the following topic:

 

C. Cite at least one example in which your leadership impacted or changed a situation and discuss how you think IE Business
School will help you refine, focus, or enhance this skill.
Applicants for Specialized Masters should also answer the following essay question:

 

D. In your opinion, what is the most important challenge currently facing the industry or sector in which you would like to
specialize?
Applicants for the Master in International Relations should also write an essay on the following topic:

 

E. State your commitment to international affairs and your professional aspirations
Applicants for Master of Laws (LL.M.) should also write an essay on the following topic:

 

F. State your opinion as to the importance of a post-graduate education in law within the context of the global profession of lawyers and entrepreneurs.

1. Why are you applying to the HEC MBA Program now? What is the professional objective
that will guide your career choice after your MBA, and how will the HEC MBA contribute to
the achievement of this objective? (500 words)

 

2. What do you consider your most significant life achievement? (250 words)

 

3. Leadership and ethics are inevitably intertwined in the business world. Describe a
situation in which you have dealt with these issues and how they have influenced you.
(250 words)

 

4. Imagine a life entirely different from the one you now lead, what would it be? (250 words)

 

5. Please choose from one of the following essays: (250 words)
a) What monument or site would you advise a first-time visitor to your country or city to discover, and why?
b) Certain books, movies or plays have had an international success that you believe to be undeserved.
Choose an example and analyse it.
c) What figure do you most admire and why? You may choose from any field (arts, literature, politics,business, etc).

 

6. Is there any additional information you would like to share with us? (900 words)

M4800 sim unlock 과정

이 방법을 적용한 후에 중국 중경에 가서 현지 심카드를 넣어봤습니다.
결론은 사용불가..
현지 심을 넣었을 경우, 사용할 수 없는 심카드라는 메세지만 계속 나오고, 전화 사용은 불가능한 상태였습니다.

다음 단계는 유럽에 가서 현지 심을 넣었을 경우, 사용가능한지에 대해서 검증해 보도록 하겠습니다.
이건 한 몇 달 후에.....

우선 자료실의 adminsettings.exe를 다운받아 실행해봅니다

1) the following code in the Phone app: *7465625*638*#

2) enter valid MCC/MNC of any carrier {참고로 국내MCC(Mobile Country Code)는 450이고,MNC(Mobile Network Code)는 skt는05, ktf는 02와 08, lgt는 ?입니다 입력은 숫자만 최대 6자리입니다.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_Network_Code ; }

이과정에서 BG14이전버전은 '45005' 5digit면 되지만 이후버전이라면 '450050'으로 6digit을 입력해보세요

IMSI(International Mobile Subscriber Identity)의 앞 6자리입니다

IMSI확인은 레지스트리 HKCU/System/State/PHONE/IMSI 입니다

3) As NCK, enter "12345678" 입력은 숫자만 8자리입니다

4) tap OK (it should tell that SIMLock enabled)

    이상 SIMLock과정입니다

 

5) the following code in the Phone app: *#7465625#

6) run Status to see if its locked (SIMLock상태를 확인할 수 있습니다)

네트워크에서는 여전히 심락이 enabled입니다

 

7) run Unlock type the following code in the Phone app: #7465625*638*#

8) enter code entered in point 3 ("12345678")

9) tap OK (it should tell that SIMLock disabled)

 

10) the following code in the Phone app: *#7465625#
  SIMunLock을 확인하실 수 있습니다 모두 disabled로 바뀌어집니다

(Sim/Usim Lock, Network Lock, Network Subset Lock, Service Provider Lock, Corporate Lock)

마지막으로 adminsettings를 실행해서 확인하시면 됩니다

여기에서도 언락이 되지 않았다면 버전다운 해야겠죠

레지스트리로 막아놓은 프로그램 실행해보기

어떻게 하다가 알게 된 사실인데

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Safer\CodeIdentifiers\
아래에 있는 key중에 실행파일을 막아둔 경우 그 key를 지우면 다시 실행시킬 수 있음
물론 재부팅은 필수
